What can you expect on the day?
Participants will have the opportunity to:
Explore SCHW's latest research report, Prevention Under Pressure, which highlights the challenges faced by community-led health organisations working alongside statutory health partners. Together, we will discuss the findings and identify practical actions that SCHW and partners can take to support the sector.
Reflect on the Common Health Assets programme, considering what has been learned and how we can apply those insights effectively at both local and national levels.
Help shape Scotland's National Framework for Social Prescribing. Colleagues from the Scottish Government will facilitate an interactive workshop exploring awareness, perceptions, and experiences of social prescribing. Your views will directly inform the development of the national framework due to be published next year.
Places and support
We warmly encourage board members, staff, volunteers, and people with lived experience to attend and participate throughout the day. Places are limited and interest is expected to be high, so we recommend registering as early as possible. We will confirm places as soon as we can.
Why attend?
This is a valuable opportunity to connect face-to-face with colleagues from across Scotland, exchange experiences, contribute to important national conversations, and help influence the future of community-led health and wellbeing. Registration opens at 9.00am with tea and coffee available before the event begins at 9.30am. Refreshments and lunch will be provided throughout the day. We very much hope you can join us for what promises to be an inspiring and collaborative day.
We look forward to welcoming you on 23 September.
Warm regards,
Scottish Communities for Health and Wellbeing (SCHW)
